    One of a group of six elite institutes set up by the Government of India for the pursuit of technical excellence, the Indian Institute of Technology at Kharagpur has its official website at www.iitkgp.ernet.in.

    However, and especially if you are an alumnus, an equally informative and much more vibrant site is maintained by the alumni association at www.kgpnet.org. It also provides a pretty good window into life as an IITian.
